About

Life is not without its complications and challenges; but once we learn to maneuver through them with a different outlook and understanding, life can be utterly rewarding.

I am a licensed professional counselor and supervisor and have over 10 years of experience specializing in child and adolescent mental health obstacles that individuals face including mood disorders, attention-deficit, impulse-control disorders, anxiety, along with providing parenting and caregiver support for these families so they can become stronger together and more supportive of one another. Through my experiences, I’ve developed specific skill sets to help families face their challenges, head-on, while using their strengths to identify specific goals and specific tools that will help them work through and overcome life’s obstacles.

I love helping others, and I love sharing what I’ve learned over the years. I also love seeing those “aha” moments when people break through their personal barriers and challenge themselves to start making better choices for their lives and the lives of those closest to them.

This blog is my way of sharing some of my thoughts, and challenges, related to specific problem areas that most individuals, parents, and families face at one time or another. I hope that it brings you hope and gives you that spark that you needed to start making healthier decisions today!

Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to leave a comment on things you like so I know what is most helpful for others.
